MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION ASSESSMENTS

If you have received a letter from the Ministry of Transportation asking for you to be assessed for alcohol or drug problems as a condition of keeping or returning a motor vehicle license, our program will help you.

Our Physician, who specializes in addiction medicine, is fully licensed and is approved to conduct assessments by the Ministry of Transportation regarding substance and alcohol misuse, abuse and addiction. Our addiction counsellor is an internationally certified alcohol and drug counsellor, who also is approved to conduct these medical assessments on your behalf.

We have been conducting Ministry of Transportation medical/substance abuse assessments for the past ten years and understand exactly what the Ministry of Transportation wants and needs in order to properly assess your case.

Unfortunately this assessment and any related correspondence is not a covered
service of the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).

The Cost is $1400.00. This fee is for the substance use assessment and the documentation that is forwarded to the Ministry of Transportation.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE FEE IS NOT A PURCHASE OF YOUR LICENSE BACK FROM OUR ADDICTION PHYSICIAN.
